diagnosis. Some policies cover up to 22 conditions, including heart attack, stroke, bypass

You
Survived A Critical Illness - but will you have the right
insurance coverage?
It's
easy to imagine how extra cash might help improve or just maintain one's
quality of life after a critical illness. Survivors of critical illnesses
are often forced to drastically change their lifestyles - selling their
homes or business, dipping into retirement savings, or, in many cases,
relying on charities. Could a critical illness happen to you?
Most of us have had friends or family members effected by various critical
illnesses such as heart disease, stroke, cancer, MS, Kidney Disease,
Occupational HIV Injury, Alzheimer's Parkinson's Disease etc. But what we
may not know are that these ailments are all covered by Critical Illness
Insurance Policies.
Your Disability Insurance Policy will
replace only a fraction of your current income. However, Critical Illness
Insurance provides a lump sum benefit determined by you ranging from
$25,000 dollars to $2,000,000 tax-free, and paid out 30 days
after surviving a major life threatening illness - protection that would
alleviate the additional stress that would impair the healing process. Not
tied into an ability to work, the lump sum can be used in any fashion from
getting medical treatment not available in Canada, to taking the family on
a vacation of a lifetime. The possibilities are virtually endless. If you
consider Critical Illness Insurance a part of your financial long-term
plan, chances are you will never have to change the life style you've
become accustomed to.
Currently in Canada, Critical Illness
Insurance is available to healthy clients under the age of 65 who have not
already had a serious medical condition. The policy usually runs from time
of purchase to age 75, and in some cases age 100.
